About navitend

Every organization has a story. Ours took its current shape in 2002, when Frank Ableson and a friend purchased a small division of a long-established technology firm in Northern New Jersey. A year into the venture, Frank's friend passed away, and Frank had the opportunity to run the company on his own. Talk about an education.

After being a "one-year-old company" for nearly ten years in a row, it was time to rebrand and carve out a place in a bigger story. The new name, navitend, combines "navigate" and "tend": we navigate our clients through their technology decisions, then help them look after their technology investments. Kind of like a shepherd. That's where our sheep comes from: we want to lead the way to greener pastures.

Today we serve clients across North America, and locally from our offices in North Jersey and Nashville.

navitend was founded to give growing organizations the kind of IT leadership big companies take for granted, delivered by people who pick up the phone. More than 25 years later, that's still the job.
