It takes many collaborative threads of effort to make a positive impact in our societies.
Government.
Family.
Faith.
Non-Profits.
Churches.
Community.
Affiliate or industry groups.
Many more.
One of those threads is proficiency in the topic which impacts everyone, economics.
Thomas Sowell is a prolific writer on topics impacting societies at a fundamental level through the lense of economics. His Basic Economics book is a favorite of mine. It's not a quick read (or listen) but well worth the time investment. A lot of Sowell's works cover similar ground, some leaning into more political commentary that may distract at times. I prefer this title as it lays out fundamental topics and conveys the natural consequences of actions taken by actors such as individuals, organizations, corporations and governments.
When you complete this book, you will be better equipped to evaluate, engage, and impact the world around you. It should be required reading for a high school diploma or GED.
